Day 1 – Depart from your hometown and travel to your overnight stop for lodging (pack an overnight bag): dinner is on your own this evening.

Day 2 – Following breakfast, check out and continue traveling south to genteel Savannah, Georgia Lodging has been arranged for the group for the next three evenings along with dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 – Enjoy breakfast, then get an understated taste of an authentic early 19th century holiday season in Savannah at the historic Davenport House Tours of the home explore how the Davenport household celebrated Christmas and New Years in the 1820s. There will be time for lunch on your own and shopping in Savannah’s Old City Market area. In the afternoon, visit the Savannah History Museum, housed in the old Central of Georgia Railway passenger shed and dating to the 1850s. The museum is now home to more than 10,000 artifacts including Forest Gump’s bench, one of Johnny Mercer’s Oscar Awards, and a carriage owned by the family of Girl Scouts founder, Juliette Gordon Lowe. Tonight, you will enjoy a two-hour Dinner Cruise as a riverboat slowly takes you down the Savannah River Enjoy a gourmet buffet dinner and after dinner, snap your fingers, tap your feet or get up and dance to the tunes from the 50’s through today performed by one of our own riverboat entertainers.

Day 4 – Breakfast this morning, then travel to Savannah’s Visitor Center where you will meet your guide for a 2-hour tour of one of the largest restored National Historic Landmark Districts in the nation. You will see 2.2 square miles of the Historic District showing over 270 years of rich history with its restored 18th and 19th century buildings and the waterfront where cotton warehouses are now restaurants, hotels, and shops This beautiful city eloquently displays exquisite ironwork, ancient cobblestones, splendid mansions and picturesque cottages. You will see and hear about Factors Walk, Trustees Garden, City Market, and Colonial Cemetery. Afterwards, there will be free time to visit Savannah’s River Street District where you can enjoy lunch on your own and browse the unique shops Returning to your hotel, you will have time to freshen up for your evening activities. Start your New Year’s Eve with a delicious southern buffet dinner at The Lady & Sons Restaurant.. then continue to the Historic Savannah Theatre where you will enjoy a fantastic Musical Revue Show. This is two full hours of music, dancing and comedy to get you in the mood. The entertainment doesn’t stop here, as the house band continues to play all your favorites to lead you up to midnight. Party favors and a toast at midnight complete your fun-filled New Year’s Eve Celebration!

Day 5 – Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, then check out and depart for your overnight stop for lodging (pack an overnight bag), dinner is on your own this evening.

Day 5 – Following breakfast, check out and depart for home with fond memories of New Year’s Eve in Savannah!
