Day 1: Sun., April 8             Charlotte, Ml to Charleston, WV

Board the coach to hurry spring time this year. It may be cool in Michigan, but we are on a mission in search of sunshine in South Carolina. It’s a full day’s driving. Dinner on your own tonight.

Day 2: Mon., April 9           Charleston WV to Myrtle Beach,SC

It is pretty much another travel day arriving late afternoon. Unpack once, settle into your suite, take a peek at the Atlantic Ocean and enjoy the breeze from your balcony. Before long, it’s time for dinner that will be served right at our hotel. (B,D)

Day 3: Tues., April 10        Murrell’s Inlet

Today enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then take a walk on the beach, or just chill out until noon. Travel to Murrell’s Inlet for lunch at the Wicked Tuna for an incredible meal of the freshest food around. Continue with the Salt Water Marsh Explorer Cruise. This is a 1.5-2 hr cruise with a Naturalist on board. At one point he will pull up a bucket full of sand dollars, crabs etc. just to check out the sea life below. You will also dock on a semi-private beach for collecting shells. This is a very smooth cruise. Return to the hotel, then have dinner on your own before going to see the optional ($28) show “Alabama” at Barefoot Landing. (B, L)

Day 4: Wed., April 11        At the Hotel/Evening show

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast. If you want, go across the street for shopping at Barefoot on the Beach. Return after lunch and enjoy the beach and the pool or your ocean front balcony. Dinner is included tonight at the Chesapeake House. Next stop, “Carolina Opry,” one of the best shows on the beach. (B,D)

Day 5: Thur., April 12       Brookgreen Gardens

Breakfast at the hotel. Then travel to the beautiful Brookgreen Gardens. Admission is included. If you want a guided garden tour, we will arrange it. If you want to do the Creek Excursion (45min-1 hour) there is an additional cost of $10. Take time to have a light lunch in their café and plan to depart about 2 pm. Enjoy a couple of hours free time at the beach, and then go to the Original Benjamins. It is a buffet with seemingly thousands of offerings. It is good too. (B,D)

Day 6 Fri., April 13             Hotel/ Legends in Concert

The morning hours are free. Breakfast is not included today. How about a run to the Cracker Barrel? If you like, do some shopping at Barefoot Landing, especially if the weather is uncooperative. Mid-afternoon, take a ride to the center of Myrtle Beach and take a ride on the Sky Wheel if you are so inclined ($14.) Then continue to Broadway at the Beach for dinner (included) and the last activity in Myrtle Beach, “Legends in Concert.” (D)

Day 7: Sat., April 14            Myrtle Beach to Charleston, WV

This morning take an early walk on the beach and depart for our en-route stop in Charleston, WV. (B)

Day 8: Sun., April 15          Charleston, WV to home
